The Preston Jazz and Improvisation Festival returned this year, seeing Young Jazz on the Square last weekend.
Winckley Square saw thousands of visitors on Saturday 1 June for a family fun day and live concert.
The event showcased the county’s musical talent from Lancashire Schools Jazz Orchestra, Jazz Futures and a street band named Honk, who were performing by popular demand.

The crowds also saw a performance by Max Rosen Quartet, whose appearance was supported by the National Youth Jazz Orchestra.
Those attending the free event were able to bring a picnic, enjoy refreshments from the FoWS pop-up bar and have a go on fairground rides.
Winckley Square’s event is part of a three-week festival is set to ignite the city with activities in parks, music venues, community centres, online and even on the streets of Preston.

The festival is supported by the University of Central Lancashire, Preston City Council, and local collaborators.
