Redditor Fax5jrj knows what it takes to turn back time.

“Baby skincare products are amazing, and they are often very cheap,” he said.

“Babies have very sensitive skin and so when people formulate products for them, they only add the good ingredients and leave out any bad,” he added.

He shared what else makes baby items work better.

“Baby products often have everything we look for on an ingredient list, and eczema creams always have the same thing but with colloidal oatmeal added into the mix,” he said.

“This has been my obsession recently – I’ve been obsessed with ingredient lists and figuring out how to spend as little money on skincare as possible as well, which led directly into this,” he added.

“My skin has never looked better and to be honest, I’m a baby at heart, so it all makes sense.”

He got to the bottom of just why his skin looks and feels as soft as a baby’s bottom – active ingredients.

His favorite products include those that contain ceramides, hyaluronic acids, panthenol, licorice, and green tea extracts.

He acknowledged that while many baby items contain plant-derived alcohols, his skin didn’t seem to be negatively affected.

One of the buys that fits the baby smooth bill is Aveeno Baby Eczema Thrapy Moisturizing Cream, which is available on Amazon for $19.99.

It contains ceramide, panthenol, and allantoin, and colloidal oatmeal.

“Colloidal oatmeal is a fantastic skin protectant that doesn’t clog my pores or leave me sticky, so I use it twice every day on any redness,” he said.

And that isn’t the only bargain item in his skincare stash.

“Pipette has been an amazing find as well because it’s basically Biossance but cheaper and better, more useful formulations,” he said.

  • Keep your skin hydrated internally by drinking water and externally with moisturizer.
  • Always use sunscreen, even if you’re not in direct sunlight.
  • Use Vitamin C to brighten the skin and don’t forget to apply to your neck.

He is also a fan of their baby balm stick made with sunflower oil and mango butter, as well as their baby oil and eczema lotion.

“In general, their creams are very well formulated and have the best silky consistency,” he said.

Others shared what baby items worked wonders for their skin.

“I love my Aveeno! I use their baby eczema therapy nighttime balm as well over their lotion and I have smooth, soft, non-itchy skin!” said one Redditor.

“The most important thing is, none of their products cause any acne for me,” they continued.

“I have rosacea and really enjoy the CeraVe baby wash/shampoo for a gentle foaming cleanse!” wrote another reader.
