NEW York City is offering 10,000 free tickets to the public for the annual fireworks – but the event’s website has crashed.
The complimentary tickets grant access to prime viewing areas on Pier 45 and Pier 84 in Manhattan for Macy’s iconic 4th of July Fireworks show.
The tickets were supposed to become available starting at 10 am today via the official website, but the servers have crashed.
The event’s website shows that an “error has occurred” and that the page is “temporarily unavailable” as people try to snag tickets.
The spots will be distributed on a first-come, first-served basis, with a limit of two tickets per person.
