MORE than a year after its release, the biggest video game set in Harry Potter’s Wizarding World will receive a huge free update.
Developer Avalanche Software outlined on Tuesday quite a few long-requested features that will be added to the game very soon.
Hogwarts Legacy is getting its free summer 2024 update on June 6, 2024, and now we know what’s in store for Potterheads.
Headlining the new additions is a fully featured Photo Mode, allowing players to capture their favourite moments in the game’s gorgeous open world.
Previously, Hogwarts Legacy players could only take basic screenshots of the game, with no options to customise camera angles, hide the game’s interface or add filters.
The new Photo Mode seems to have all the features that are now standard for many other games, like adjustments to contrast, exposure, depth of field, filters, character pose presets, and more.
It’s a welcome addition that some have been waiting for since the game released back in February 2023.
Players who change their minds about how they want to build their characters will now have the option to reset talent points and assign them again.
The new feature will not be free and will cost 200 in-game gold per talent point, so choosing the best skills to match your playstyle remains important in the game.

Arguably the biggest new feature for some players will be the addition of The Haunted Hogsmeade Shop quest.
This is an exclusive side quest that only PlayStation console owners could play, but it will now be available to Xbox, Nintendo Switch, and PC players as well.
Completing the lengthy quest rewards you with your own shop at the famous Hogsmeade all-wizarding village and a special shopkeeper’s outfit for your character.
The new update will also unlock a pre-order exclusive item for all players, the onyx Hippogriff mount.
Next time fans log into the game after the update, they will also receive the iconic Harry Potter taped-up spectacles along with a couple more cosmetics.
