In an interview with the News Agency of Nigeria on Thursday in Abuja, the musician expressed her determination to not only make her mark in music history but also to inspire aspiring singers and performers to dream big and push beyond their limits.

“I am thrilled to announce my desire to break the GWR for the Longest Singing Marathon (Sing-A-Thon). This record-breaking event promises to be spectacular, showcasing endurance, talent, and community spirit,”

Jibromah’s desire to inspire

As Jibromah prepares for this monumental challenge, she hopes her effort will resonate with many, encouraging them to pursue their dreams and break barriers

The talented Nigerian singer intends to follow in the footsteps of Hilda Baci and Tunde Onakoya, two Nigerians who have broken the Guiness World Record within the past year. Hilda Baci’s record-breaking, 93-hour, 11-minute cookathon shot her to instant fame in Nigeria in 2023 while Tunde Onakoya teamed up with the American Chess Master, Shawn Martinez, to play chess and remain unbeatien in over 170 games over 60 hours non-stop.

Driven by more than just the challenge itself, Jibromah believes that successfully breaking the record would inspire countless young Nigerians to pursue their dreams, no matter how ambitious they might seem. “I am driven not just by the challenge itself but by the potential benefits it can bring to Nigerians,” she added.

The singing marathon is scheduled to take place from July 27 to August 2, starting at 9 a.m. daily at Unique Park Gardens, Sky Memorial, Zone 5, Abuja. The event is open to the public, inviting everyone to witness Jibromah’s attempt to make history.
