Olamide is famous for his peaceful nature, incredible talent, and musical genius which have helped his career spanning over a decade. Yet, fans are surprised about the announcement because Olamide had hinted that his 2023 project, ‘Unruly’ may be his last one.

The announcement of Ikigai, made via his social media platforms on June 26, 2024, comes hot on the heels of a surprise performance at Davido and Chioma’s wedding, underscoring his knack for unexpected yet impactful moments.

What we know about Olamide’s Ikigai

‘Ikigai’, a 7-track EP, takes its name from the Japanese term meaning “reason for being” or “life’s purpose”. It promises a fusion of the YBNL boss’ signature sound with fresh collaborations that are set to captivate listeners.

Notably, the project features YBNL stars Fireboy and Asake on the electrifying track ‘Uptown Disco’, slated as the third track on the EP.
