Over Nine Killed, More Than 50 Abducted in Katsina Terrorist Attack

More than nine people have been killed, over fifty abducted and eight vehicles burnt after terrorists attacked Maidabino, a remote community in Danmusa local government area of the Katsina Central Senatorial District.
According to the locals, the terrorists who were riding on many motorcycles attacked the community around 6pm local time on Saturday and started shooting sporadically forcing members of the community to scrambled for escape routes.
In a phone interview with ARISE NEWS, an eye witness Anas Musa, said eight vehicles, many shops and residential buildings were burnt down by the terrorists during the attacked that lasted till 2am on Sunday.
“The attackers riding on many motorcycles stormed our community shortly after the Soldiers that escorted our traders back home from a Friday left our community to their base”.
He added that apart from the killings and destructions, the suspected Bandits terrorists also took away many Bags of assorted grains and Bags of fertilisers as well as other assorted essential commodities.
While confirming the attack, the Spokesman of the Katsina State Police Command Abubakar Sadiq said investigation is ongoing and more detail would be made known subsequently.
