Preston Police have continued to step up their patrols after controlled explosions were carried out in Fulwood.
The police shared an update during Thursday (20 June) evening after finding two grenade-type devices in Preston during Tuesday lunchtime.
There is set to be a continued increase of police in the area which will include mounted officers and a mobile police station.

This is to reassure the public and as part of ongoing enquiries as the investigation into how two explosive devices came to be close to a house in Fulwood.
Police were called to Watling Street Road at around 12.25pm on Tuesday 18 June to a report that the devices had been found close to an address. The road was shut from the former Garrison pub junction up to the turn with Fulwood Hall Lane while the bomb squad attended.
The Explosive Ordnance Disposal (EOD) team were called and a cordon was established and nearly 80 homes evacuated.
A controlled explosion of one of the devices was carried out by the EOD at the scene, with the other device removed to a second location and a further controlled explosion taking place there.
One of the items was found to be a viable explosive device while the other was not a viable explosive device.
Police believe this was an isolated incident and at this stage they don’t believe it is linked to any other investigations and do not believe there is a risk to the general public.
No arrests have been made at this stage.
