An academy in Preston has won the title of ‘Best Academy in the UK’ at the Hair and Beauty Awards.
Skin Medicine, a beauty salon in Ashton-on-Ribble delivers a range of services including aesthetic medicine, permanent make-up, massage, lip filler, face modelling and more.
Owner, Marta is a Continuing Professional Development (CPD) trainer and performs aesthetic medicine treatments.

Her Skin Medicine Aesthetics Training Academy on Blackpool Road is accredited in the field of aesthetic medicine and more. It is one of the leading specialist training centres in the UK, where professionals and beginners can train under Marta’s watchful eye.
Unable to attend the Hair and Beauty event in Birmingham due to a training day for her students, Marta watched the announcements online and ‘couldn’t be happier’ to have achieved first place.
She said: “Thank you for recognising my hard work and passion in this industry and thank you to all my clients for believing in me and for all your support since I started my work.
“Love you all and I still can’t believe that I get to do this amazing job everyday and see you all.
“I seriously wouldn’t be able to do this without all of you, we cry and laugh together but most importantly I hope you all leave the clinic and my training courses happy and feeling that much more confident and beautiful.”
Next year Marta will also officially complete her ultrasound specialisation and will be able to provide new services such as ultrasound tests.
