THOUSANDS of seniors have six extra months to claim a rebate check up to $1,000.
Pennsylvania residents over the age of 65 originally had until June 30 to apply for the Property Tax/Rent Rebate program.
Governor Josh Shapiro has now extended the application deadline to December 31, 2024 as more funds are available, according to the state’s Department of Revenue.
The rebate, ranging from $380 to $1,000, is available to Pennsylvania homeowners or renters over 65, widows over the age of 50, and people with disabilities over the age of 18.
On top of the age requirements, your annual household income must be $45,000 or less to qualify for the rebate.
You can apply for the program online, by mail, or in-person.
