A free event exploring Preston’s footballing icons is taking place at Lancashire Archives.

Michael Barrett’s talk, titled Preston’s Footballing Icons: The Invincibles, will look at how the unbeaten North End team of 1888-89 took the football world by storm.

Michael is the Heritage Co-ordinator at Preston North End Community and Education Trust.

He’s also the author of bestselling graphic novel Preston North End – The Rise of The Invincibles, and PNE Forever – Stories from the Fans of Preston North End.

The talk will cover in detail the making of his book on The Invincibles, plus there’s the chance to view the Pride of the Pitch exhibition, which is on at the Archives until October.
