A TARGET fan recently revealed a checkout trick that could help you save.

Writing on Facebook, she said that there’s a key word to say to a cashier — though others disagree.

The Facebook user, Tatii, responded to a post asking for secrets people could share after leaving a job.

She reminded followers that Target has a price match policy.

“Target has a policy that you can price check every item you have to see if Walmart has it cheaper,” she said.

“Idc if you have 100 items they have to check them,” she claimed.

“Ask if they have a zebra then they know you know lol,” she said, referring to the kind of scanners the company uses.

However, others online disagreed.

RULE RUMBLE

The official Target policy does not state that store employees will check every price for you.

Instead, it suggests that customers can seek proof of lower prices on their own.

Target then verifies that price.

On Reddit, one worker explained.

Target uses an app on the Zebra scanners to verify price matches.

“If it doesn’t come up in the price match app on the zebra then don’t price match it,” they said to fellow employees.

Elsewhere on Reddit, a worker complained that some customers attempt to get them to check too many prices.

“Miss ma’am i am not going to price match everything single item if you don’t already have them on your phone,” they said.
