London’s 2024 Wireless Festival witnessed electrifying performances from Nigerian music stars including Rema, Shallipopi, Asake and Ruger over the weekend.
The Wireless Festival, an annual rap and hip-hop festival was held from July 12 to July 14 to celebrate music, culture, and global talent.
The lineup for the festival featured music stars including international acts like Nicki Minaj, Gunna, Future, Doja Cat, Ice Spice, Tyla, Central Cee, Jhus, 21 Savage, Sean Paul and other international stars. Yet, the Nigerian acts stole the spotlight at the festival.
Asake’s performance at the 2024 Wireless Festival
On Saturday, Asake recreated the iconic entrance made famous by American rapper Lil Yachty and the crowd erupted as he launched into his hit track “Organise” from his debut album “Mr. Money With the Vibe,” setting the tone for an unforgettable evening. He also performed his new single ‘Wave’, featuring UK rapper Central Cee, and ‘Remember’ from his 2023 album ‘Work of Art’ to showcase himself as one of the best performers in the industry.
Asake surprised fans by bringing American rapper Gunna on stage to perform their collaboration “Happiness,” featuring Sarz. Asake injected a touch of drama into his set, delighting fans by pulling out a fire gun and treating them to his signature “Eko for Show.”

On Sunday, Rema created a memorable moment by inviting Shallipopi and his brother Zerry DL on stage to perform their latest collaboration, ‘Benin Boys.’ The singer, fresh from his performance at a wedding in India also performed ‘Soundgasm’ from his debut album, ‘Rave & Roses’.
The singer just recently released his second studio album titled ‘HEIS’ performed other songs and also brought out Darkoo to preview his verse for the remix of their new collaboration on ‘Favorite Girl’.
Shallipopi, performed his hit song ‘Cast’, while Ruger performed songs such as ‘Wewe’, and ‘Girlfriend’ to entertain the crowd at the festival
Nicki Minaj, 21 Savage and Doja Cat were the headliners of each day of the festival respectively, the festival that was held from Friday, July 12 to Sunday, July 14.
The performance was a testament to the growing influence of Afrobeat and Nigerian music on the global stage, resonating deeply with fans who flocked to see these dynamic artists deliver a lively performance.
