There’s major delays on Ringway through Preston city centre due to a broken down bus.

The 23 service, a Preston Bus route, is stuck on the turn from Corporation Street into Ringway.

There are delays reported in both directions along Ringway around 4pm on Thursday (11 July).

Preston Police are on the scene helping to direct traffic while a recovery vehicle arrives.

Corporation Street is the site of the new bus gate from Lancashire County Council with only buses, cyclists and Hackney carriage taxis allowed to use it and all other motorists facing a fine.

Ring Way is already seeing peak-time delays due to a lane closure by the Animate cinema site which has works ongoing throughout the summer.
