The 38-year-old was allegedly behind the wheel of a Toyota Prado last month when it collided with a road train towing two trailers and a Suzuki hatchback on Brand Highway near Cataby.
Coral Senior and Thelma Clausen, the two women inside the Suzuki, both died in the crash.
It's understood the charges were upgraded as a result of blood tests.
Cox did not enter a plea today and the matter was adjourned for legal advice.
His bail has been extended with further conditions added.

<p>On February 11, 2023, the Super Eagles of Nigeria had the opportunity to win their fourth AFCON title at the Alassane Ouattara Stadium, Ebimpe, Abidjan, in front of over 60,000 spectators.</p>
<p>Despite beating Ivory Coast in the group stage, the hosts of the tournament proved to be a very hard nut to crack in the final.</p>
<p>Ivory Coast enjoyed a massive possession of the ball, but the Super Eagles ended the first half with a 1-0 lead.</p>
<p>In the second half, the game completely turned in favour of the Ivorians as they scored two goals to end the encounter with a 2-1 win. <a href="https://www.naijanews.com/2024/02/11/ivory-coast-beat-super-eagles-to-win-2023-afcon/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">The scoreline was enough to earn them their third AFCON title in style.</a></p>
<p>After the game, Emerse Fae, who was merely an assistant coach when the tournament started but was made the caretaker coach of the team after <a href="https://www.naijanews.com/2024/01/24/ivory-coast-sacks-coach-despite-having-chance-of-reaching-2023-afcon-round-of-16/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">the sack of Jean-Louis Gasset</a>, said his team took advantage of how tired the Eagles were heading to the second half.</p>
<p>The former Ivory Coast head coach stressed that he told his team to be more intense in the second half, which paid off favourably.</p>

With food prices still sky-high across Quebec, we set out to find out just how much you can really save by shopping in bulk — and how Costco <a href="https://www.mtlblog.com/montreal-grocery-prices-quebec-stores" target="_blank">compares to other major grocery chains in Montreal</a>.</p><p>Since Costco mostly sells food in larger formats, we based our comparison on the same quantities found there. We priced out a basket of 11 everyday grocery staples in person at Costco, then matched those sizes — or the closest possible equivalent — across five other big-name stores: Metro, IGA, Super C, Maxi, and Provigo.</p><p>Rather than compare different price tags sizes head-to-head, we calculated each store's price per kilogram or litre, then used that unit price to determine how much you'd actually pay for the same quantities found at Costco. Here's how Quebec's largest supermarkets measured up.</p><h3>Costco – $108.75</h3><br/><p>This Costco cart comes out to a little under $110. </p><p>So yes, buying in bulk pays off — especially for cheese, sugar, and pantry staples. While meat prices weren't drastically lower than elsewhere, the per-unit savings on yogurt, cereal, and carrots were significant. If you've got the storage space and don't mind buying big portions of food, the annual fee can pay for itself pretty quickly. That said, if you prefer smaller stores or going shopping more often, places like Super C or Maxi still offer solid value, and no membership is required.</p><p><strong><br/></strong></p>
