I am the first to admit that I am not a City of Edmonton transportation planner. I don’t have nearly the intellect and foresight to qualify for that position. But, having watched, in frustration, as construction continues on Stony Plain Road west of what used to be the Groat ravine bridge with the resulting diverted traffic on 107 Avenue a bottleneck, it is beyond belief that our transportation department has now seen fit to close one of the two westbound lanes on 102 Avenue from 136 to 139 Streets for more excavation and pipe installation.
