Mahomes, 28, watched Wimbledon and the British Grand Prix while in the UK before jetting off to watch Taylor Swift play in Amsterdam.

But it is soccer that he really caught his eye as he posted on X during Spain’s thrilling win over France to reach Sunday’s final.

“I know I’m late to it! But watching Euros in Europe made me a lifetime fan of the tournament!!,” he wrote.

England and the Netherlands play today to decide who joins Spain.

Mahomes and wife Brittany – a former pro soccer player – are investors in NWSL club the Kansas City Current.

They watched their franchise play its opening match in a new stadium – the first ever built specifically for a women’s sports team – in March.

Mahomes is also an investor in Alpine F1  alongside his teammate Travis Kelce.

The dominant passer opened up about his plans for life after retirement earlier this month.

While he is used to getting roughed up by huge defensive linemen, he revealed that no money in the world could persuade him to share a ring with Mike Tyson.

“There’s zero price for me getting into the ring, Mahomes said on Riggle’s Picks podcast.

“I’ve never been a big fighter in general like if it’s life or death I’ll defend myself, but I usually let the big guys do it.

“So, it’s definitely not something that I’m looking to do after I’m done with my career.

“That and the roast. I’m not doing the roast either.”

Mahomes’ mom Randi has pointed out that the Chiefs quarterback’s life is not all roses.

In an appearance on The Mom Game Podcast, Randi said that while she’s been thrilled seeing her son succeed, the seven years of his NFL career have been one of the most difficult periods of her life.

Patrick Mahomes' endorsements

Patrick Mahomes earns over $50 million per season from his Kansas City Chiefs contract.

But the superstar quarterback also cashes in on his brand off the field.

Mahomes has a reported net worth of $70 million.

And that’s in no small part down to some of the brand he endorses.

The Chiefs star is the face of Adidas in the United States and appears in State Farm commercials.

He also pops up on adverts for Subway and Head and Shoulders.

Mahomes also became the face of energy drink Prime, which is owned by Logan Paul and KSI.

“After we won the Super Bowl a couple of years ago, I kind of went back and I was just looking through social media trying to fall asleep,” she said.

“And I would look and someone would give me so much hate to me and to my children, all three of them.

“And I would look at their social media and I would be like… this is a beautiful All-American family.

“Why would this mom or dad reach out to say this?”

Randi said that she’s witnessed people get along really well with Patrick’s siblings, Jackson and Mia, after meeting them.

But, she continued, many others “try to tear everything else down” after seeing the two-time NFL MVP “on this pedestal.”

“I don’t wish it on even my worst enemy,” Randi explained.

“I have said that I don’t wish it on anyone because as a mother, you don’t want to read or see things about your children.

“Especially when you know it’s not true.”
