A long section of Blackpool Road is closed after a crash.
Police are at the scene of the collision on Blackpool Road, in Ashton-on-Ribble, which they first reported at 2.55pm this afternoon (24 July).
The road closure is extensive and runs from the junction of Lea Road up to Moss Avenue. Police have warned that the road will be closed for some time.

A spokesperson for police: “We’re currently at the scene of a road closure on Blackpool Rd in Preston from the junction with Moss Avenue up to the junction with Lea Road.
“The road is closed due to a road traffic collision and we anticipate this will be closed for some time.
“We’ll provide an update once cleared and thank you in advance for your patience.”
