LOTTERY officials have asked players to double-check their tickets before a $150,000 prize goes unclaimed.

The ticket was purchased at a gas station in Whitefish, Montana located on 4899 US Highway 93 South.

The owner of the gas station, Victor “Vic” Workman, has worked as a real estate agent in the neighborhood for 30 years.

He recently bought Midway Mini Mart in Happy Valley.

The new owners said he is bringing an “appreciation for the store’s long legacy,” as reported by the Daily Inter Lake.

He said he’s excited for the role as the new owner of the beloved convenience store on US Highway 93 South.

“My plans are to follow what they’ve started and be an all-around good little store for my neighbors,” he told the Daily Inter Lake.

The store is now referred to as “Vic’s Market.”

HOW TO PLAY

To play Powerball, players choose six numbers from two separate pools for the drawing.

Players choose five numbers between 1 and 69 for the white balls and one number for a red ball, or Powerball, from 1 to 26.

There are a total of nine ways to win a prize in Powerball, ranging from $4, recovering your initial $2 buy-in plus $2, to the jackpot.

Players can increase their prize amounts by spending an extra $1 for the “PowerPlay” option to win two, three, four, or even five times as much.

WAYS TO WIN

There are nine ways a player can win The Powerball: 1) matching just the Powerball 2) one number and the Powerball 3) two numbers and the Powerball 4) three numbers 5) three numbers and the Powerball, 6) four numbers 7) four numbers and the Powerball 8) five numbers, 9) and the jackpot.

If the player’s Powerball matches the one drawn, they will get a total of $4. The odds of a ticket matching only the Powerball is 1 in 38.

If they choose one correct number plus the Powerball they’ll bring home $4 again. The odds more than double to a 1 in 91 chance.

How to win the Powerball?

There are nine ways a player can win the Powerball:

  1. Matching just the Powerball
  2. Matching one number and the Powerball
  3. Matching two numbers and the Powerball
  4. Matching three numbers
  5. Matching three numbers and the Powerball
  6. Matching four numbers
  7. Matching four numbers and the Powerball
  8. Matching five numbers
  9. Matching five numbers and the Powerball

If their ticket matches two numbers and the Powerball they’ll get $7 but the odds to get there skyrocket to 1 in 701.

The odds of getting three correct numbers are 579 to 1, but players only take home another $7.

If a player purchases a ticket that matches three numbers and the Powerball they’ll win a $100 prize.

The odds of buying a ticket containing four numbers without the Powerball almost double again to 36,525 to 1 chance, but the prize stays at $100.

When a player correctly guesses four numbers and the Powerball, the prize climbs greatly to $50,000.

To get the $1 million prize, they’ll need to match the numbers on the five white balls drawn without the Powerball and beat the 11,688,053 to 1 odds.

The vast majority who play to win the jackpot have the odds stacked against them with just 292,201,338 to 1 shot of buying a ticket that matches all five numbers and the Powerball.

Meanwhile, a TJ Maxx rival retailer has unexpectedly announced that it will shut several locations.

And a Walgreens shopper has called out the retailer for locking up an essential personal item.
