Motorists are being warned of long delays due to a police incident on the M6 northbound at Bamber Bridge.
National Highways North West said the incident has cleared, around 1pm on Friday (12 July), and all lanes re-opened but delays remain.
Preston Police shut the motorway after a car was stopped and the driver fled the scene – with police continuing to look for him.

A police spokesperson confirmed the driver had fled up an embankment.
Motorists reported seeing around five police cars at the scene.
Traffic England is showing delays of at least 45 minutes from Junction 28 (Leyland) up to Junction 31 (Tickled Trout).
The M61 is also seeing delays building from where it meets the M6.
The M6 southbound is also looking slow from Junction 33 down to Junction 31, with particularly bad congestion around Junction 31A.
