Police have arrested a 45-year-old man after a woman's body was found inside a bin in Melbourne's north last week.
Staff at Repurpose It, a waste facility in Epping, made the grim discovery while moving green waste on Wednesday.
Investigators believe the woman was inside a bin that was picked up outside a property on Hilgay Street in Coolaroo the previous day.

Homicide Squad detectives are investigating the death of the 67-year-old woman, who is yet to be formally identified.
Detectives used a locksmith to access the woman's address over the weekend and spent 10 hours combing through it and the bins in the backyard.
Detectives arrested the 45-year-old Coolaroo man in Glenroy about 11.15am today and he will now be interviewed by police.
It's believed the pair were known to each other.
Repurpose It chief executive George Hatzimanolis released a statement yesterday, saying staff members were left "shaken" by the incident.
"We are deeply saddened to confirm that a body was discovered in the FOGO delivery shed at our facility last Wednesday," he said in a statement.
"Our staff members who made this tragic discovery are understandably shaken, and we are ensuring they receive the support and counselling they need."
More to come.
