MARVEL fans are flocking into the franchise’s upcoming hero shooter, Marvel Rivals, well before the game’s official release.
A Closed Beta Test for the game is currently underway and there is still a way for you to get in via Twitch Drops.
Earlier this week, more than 50,000 played the game simultaneously, so here’s what you can do if you haven’t received an invite.
Watching Twitch streamers as they play Marvel Rivals for one hour can get you a closed beta key to try the game yourself.
Twitch Drops for Marvel Rivals are be available from July 24 at 8pm ET / July 25 at 1am UK Time until July 28 at 1am UK Time.
The Marvel Rivals closed beta can be played on Steam, PS5, and Xbox Series X|S.
Marvel Rivals drops are slightly different than other Twitch Drops, where you just need to watch a stream for a set amount of time.
Marvel Rivals CBT keys are limited and the supply refreshes every day at 1am UK Time / 8pm ET.
This means your next opportunity, at the time of writing, will open on June 26 at 1am UK Time / June 25 at 8pm ET.
Keys are allocated on a first come, first served basis, so you must be quick to start watching when the next batch arrives.
To claim your closed beta key, you must link your Twitch account on the Marvel Rivals website.
After watching a stream of the game for at least one hour, claim your reward in your Twitch inventory.
Then redeem your key on the Marvel Rivals website while keys are still in stock.
If you get an error message saying that CBT keys are currently out of stock, you can try again when the next round starts.
The Marvel Rivals closed beta ends on August 5, 2024, so even if you grab a key from the last batch, you will still have a full week to play.
After the closed beta ends, the game won’t be playable, and there is still no official release date announced for Marvel Rivals.
