DESPITE not being eliminated the whole season, Claim to Fame contestant, Gabriel Cannon said that sequester was miserable.
The Claim to Fame Season 2 winner spoke with The U.S. Sun in an exclusive interview about what contestants have to endure before the show and after they go home.

The U.S. Sun asked Gabriel, 37, if the contestants stay in the house the entire time they film or do they stay somewhere else.
And they do, but before hand, the celebrity relatives are sequestered in an hotel.
“You can’t even leave this hotel room without an escort from a production assistant,” he shared.
“If I wanted to or if I got claustrophobic, and it’s just like ‘These walls are closing in on me. I need to walk the hallways,’ somebody would literally have to come walk that hallway with me.”
Nick Cannon‘s brother said the reason for that was because production didn’t want them to run into the other contestants.
“They were probably on different floors, but, they could have been in the room right next to us. We had no clue,” he said.
‘MISERABLE ROAD’
Gabriel went on to say that once a contestant was eliminated, they had to go back to the hotel and be sequestered because they would be coming back at the end of the game to help the finalists figure out identities of the remaining players.
“So, that was one of the biggest fears – going back to that hotel and being sequestered,” he said.
Luckily for Gabriel, he didn’t have to go back because he stayed until the end and won the game.
“So, if you got eliminated first, you had to stay in that hotel room by yourself, like the same thing, because you’re still in the competition. You still get to come back and give information,” he said.
“So, you still couldn’t watch TV, you couldn’t have your cell phones, anything like that. It was a miserable road for those who went home pretty early in that game.”
The contestants weren’t sequestered too long because Gabriel revealed that they only filmed for one month.
GABRIEL’S STRATEGY
Gabriel’s motivation to not go back to the hotel was enough for him to make up a lie about his identity.
He told his fellow contestants that he was related to a football player, and they believed him the whole game.

The reality TV star revealed his strategy to The U.S. Sun.
“I had a strategy, and I knew it because in life, I believe strongly life imitates art,” Gabriel said.
“In life, nobody believes that I am Nick Cannon’s brother. I mean, I would have to bring baby pictures – Nick sucking his thumb. Like, nobody believes that.
“So I knew it worked. I knew this was foolproof. Like, I got to bring proof to prove that I’m his brother in real life. So I knew that was a strategy for sure. It would take me far until the clues start coming out,” he continued.
“That’s really nothing my lies or image could do when the clues are directly pointing towards something.”
Gabriel also said that he had a secondary plan once his clue was revealed.
Because his clue had the mention of a lot of babies on it, he had to think of someone who was a “TV dad,” so he came up with Terry Crews.
Terry and Nick both hosted America’s Got Talent, so it wasn’t too much of a stretch.
Claim to Fame airs on Wednesdays at 9pm EST on ABC.
The show follows celebrity relatives trying to keep their identity a secret in order to win $100,000.
