So if you are looking to ways to tackle the heat, then you’ll need to check this out[/caption]

And if you’re on a budget as a result of the cost of living crisis, then you’ll be thrilled to know that this cheap buy from Aldi won’t break the bank either.

If that wasn’t enough, for those expecting a baby, or those going through the menopause, it’s perfect for you.

One savvy shopper from the UK was left stunned when browsing her local Aldi, when she spotted a handy Specialbuy in the middle aisle.

Thrilled with her find, Nicole Stephanie Beaman, who is currently pregnant, took to social media to show off her purchase with others, leaving many open-mouthed.

Posting on Aldi UK Shoppers, a public Facebook group with 294,700 members, Nicole shared a snap of her buy – the Ambiano Handheld Portable Fan.

Alongside the post, the expectant mother penned: “Pregnancy essential.”

The handheld fan is perfect for when you’re on the go – whether you’re out walking, feeling boiling hot on public transport, or even for long office days.

Nicole later wrote: “It was £6.99, it had a charger with it too.”

The cheap fan is available to buy in Aldi stores right now, offering shoppers the choice between either a black or white colourway to suit their personal style.

The handheld fan is equipped with three fan speeds for maximum comfort, a USB-C charging cable, and even a detachable base that allows for the fan to be used as a desk fan.

This versatility means you can prop it up on your desk as part of your summer work from home set-up or leave it bedside to keep your bed when it’s too hot to sleep at night.

If that wasn’t enough, it’s also super compact and foldable, making it the perfect device to store away in even the smallest of bags.

Why do Aldi and Lidl have such fast checkouts

IF you’ve ever shopped in Aldi or Lidl then you’ll probably have experienced its ultra-fast checkout staff.

Aldi’s speedy reputation is no mistake, in fact, the supermarket claims that its tills are 40 per cent quicker than rivals.

It’s all part of Aldi’s plan to be as efficient as possible – and this, the budget shop claims, helps keep costs low for shoppers.

Efficient barcodes on packaging means staff are able to scan items as quickly as possible, with the majority of products having multiple barcodes to speed up the process.

It also uses “shelf-ready” packaging which keeps costs low when it comes to replenishing stock.

And for those heading off to festivals and trips away this summer, the Aldi buy even includes an integrated power bank if you’re in a pinch.

At just £6.99, we think this middle aisle buy is super affordable, making it perfect for summer.

When's the best time to shop at Aldi?

WHEN it comes to shopping at Aldi, the best time to do so depends on what you want to buy.

For reduced items – when shops open

Red sticker items are rare at Aldi’s 830 UK stores, but the supermarket says that none of its food goes to waste so there are some to be found – if you’re quick.

A spokesman for the supermarket said: “All items are reduced to 50 per cent of the recommend sales price before stores open on their best before or use by dates.”

That means you have the best chance of finding reduced food items if you go into stores as soon as it opens.

Opening times vary by shop but a majority open from 7am or 8am. You can find your nearest store’s times by using the supermarket’s online shop finder tool.

For Specialbuys – Thursdays and Sundays

Specialbuys are Aldi’s weekly collection of items that it doesn’t normally sell, which can range from pizza ovens to power tools.

New stock comes into stores every Thursday and Sunday, so naturally, these are the best days to visit for the best one-off special deals.

For an even better chance of bagging the best items, head there for your local store’s opening time.

You don’t have to head into stores to bag a Specialbuy, though.

They also go on sale online, usually at midnight on Thursday and Sunday, and you can pre-order them up to a week in advance.

As long as you spend at least £25, you’ll get the items delivered for free.

Remember: once they’re gone, they’re gone, so if there’s something you really want, visit as early as possible

SOCIAL MEDIA USERS BEAM

Social media users were impressed with the supermarket find and many took to the comments to express this.

One person said: “And menopause. I need one of these.”

Another added: “Ooh, I’m nearly 30 weeks, so I’m definitely getting one!!”

A third commented: “I need this.”

At the same time, someone else asked: “Can you let us know how noisy it is please?”

To this, Nicole wrote back and confirmed: “Not noisy at all. I’ve used it already.”
