A key route along Preston Docks had been shut by police.
Preston Police closed Mariners Way, opposite Morrisons on the Docks, shortly after 5am on Tuesday (16 July).
A police spokesperson said: “We currently have a road closure in place due to an ongoing police incident.
“Please find alternative routes when travelling. Once the road has reopened, we will update you further.”

Eyewitness reports a police rescue boat has been seen on the Docks.
Preston Police confirmed the road re-opened around 7.30am on Tuesday and they had been called for a concern for welfare which had been resolved safely.
