The Ferret is hosting a Hip Hop Non Stop party on Friday.

The Fylde Road venue will see performances from Dregs Radio and Britizen Kane, plus headliners The Hiphopalippz.

Preston/Manchester-based band The Hiphopalippz will present a hip-hop mixtape show, following sold out performances at Chew’s Yard and The Ancient Oak.

The band describes themselves as bringing “the very best hip-hop flavour from the 80s, the 90s and beyond. All the hottest hip-hop party anthems from back in the day are taken to another dimension with this full live band show.”

The current set list includes tracks such as Rapper’s Delight by Sugarhill Gang, Intergalactic by Beastie Boys, Be Faithful by Fatman Scoop, The Real Slim Shady by Eminem and It’s Like That by Run DMC.

Support comes from Dregs Radio, an alternative hip hop group from the North West, combining chopped up samples with sharp lyricism and live instrumentation.

The band is comprised of Harry Hodgson (Vocals and Drums), Thomas Holt (Production, Guitar and Bass) and Rohan Manivannan (Guitar and Bass).

Influenced by King Krule, MF DOOM, The Streets, The Alchemist and Jeshi, their debut single What A Price To Pay showcases their unique take on hip hop, with a head-knocking instrumental and smooth flows throughout.

Kicking off proceedings will be another North West hip hop artist, Britizen Kane.

Kane self-released his debut album, as well as several Spotify singles, including collaborations with Popcaan, Jadakiss and more. He has accumulated over one million album streams on Spotify alone, as well as 600,000+ streams across his other releases.

Over the past few years, Kane has performed up and down the country supporting acts such as KRS-One, Skinnyman and The Four Owls, as well as his own sold out headline shows in Manchester and Liverpool.

The party will continue to the early hours with special guest DJ Bolts (So Flute / Melodic Distraction Radio).

Hip Hop Non Stop takes place at The Ferret in Fylde Road on Friday (26 July) from 7pm.

Tickets are available from £5.50 on The Ferret website.
