Seyi Vibez has delighted fans by releasing his new EP, “Loseyi Professor,” ahead of schedule. Initially set for release on July 18th, the EP is now available on all music platforms, offering listeners fresh music earlier than anticipated.
Seyi Vibez, known for his unique sound and dynamic performances, has had a prolific year. In December, he dropped his EP “NAHAMciaga,” following the success of his June releases, “Vibe Till Thy Kingdom Come” and “Thy Kingdom Come.”
NAHAMciaga is reportedly the most-listened-to music project in the first year of 2024 and the popular singer and songwriter would anticipate to see Loseyi Professor achieve the same success.

Primarily produced by Dibs, “Loseyi Professor” features seven tracks, with six of them named after various cities: Lagos, Doha, Casablanca, Santorini, Abu Dhabi, and Manchester with the last song named Albert Einstein. This city-themed approach suggests a rich tapestry of sounds and experiences, inviting fans on a global musical journey.
Naturally, the first song, ‘Lagos’ has resonated with a majority of his Nigerian listeners. With a slow tempo, the song produced by Dibs tells a story about Seyi’s struggles before his stardom which the inhabitants of Nigeria’s commercial capital face.
In the other songs, Seyi Vibez sings about his success, the new life it has allowed him to enjoy, his talent, and his popularity. He acknowledges God’s influence and how he has always backed himself because “this my talent, na follow come” in Doha. In Casablanca, he sings about his woman (women) and how she backs him regardless of the challenges. Manchester, Abu Dhabi, Santorini, and Albert Einstein follow the same theme of hustle, self-praise and gratitude.
Listening to Loseyi Professor, the songs follow the same style that has helped him attain success. The production, lyrics, and style sound eerily familiar and it may be a good thing, but variety is the spice of life. It is time to experience a ‘different pattern’ from the musician. Frankly, his fans are be getting bored from listening to the same sounds over and over again in the multiple projects he drops every year.
What is most disappointing is that we are aware of Seyi Vibez’s range. He has featured on other people’s songs where he solely delivered with various styles. If he is ready to reach the next level of greatness, Seyi Vibez needs to be braver with his experimentation of sounds and style.
I would not be surprised if he releases another album or EP before the end of the year, perhaps he would be more willing to show his range on that project. Till then, we wait.
