Preston’s most iconic nightclub is set to host a daytime party for ‘older’ punters in a bid to provide a shot of nostalgia.

The Warehouse, on St John’s Place in the city centre, is Preston’s longest running alternative nightclub and is set over three floors.

They said that, after numerous requests, they will be hosting a daytime party next month for over 30s.

The three floors will more closely resemble what they might have done two decades ago, with the top floor featuring retro, middle floor metal and rock and the ground floor dedicated to indie.

The event will happen and run on Saturday, August 3, from 4pm until 8pm with a view on “being home at a reasonable hour.”

DJs from the past, including Lauren Rose Conroy-Clough, will return for the evening with others lined-up for future events if the first one is successful.

Tickets are £4 in the first release and £6 in the second release and available here.

Daytime clubbing has become more popular in the last few years with a recent study by the Nighttime Industries Association showing an 800% search increase for such events.

The change has been attributed to the cost-of-living crisis and inflation making it important for the nightlife industry to diversify, but also people’s lifestyle choices in their 30s being markedly different and more well-being focused than they may have been previously.
