The family of late gospel singer Aduke Gold has confirmed that she died of cervical cancer, contrary to earlier reports that suggested she died from complications related to fibroid removal surgery.
In an interview with newsmen, Aderounmu Ajayi, Aduke Gold’s older brother, stated that the singer was diagnosed with cervical cancer and was taken to the University College Hospital in Ibadan, Oyo State, where she unfortunately passed away.
The family has expressed frustration with the spread of false information regarding the singer’s cause of death, urging the public to rely on credible sources for information.
Aduke Gold’s burial has been scheduled for August 23, with a candlelight procession and artistes’ night planned for August 21 and 22, respectively.
The singer, who rose to fame with her hit song “Nitori Ogo” in 2021, will be remembered for her contributions to the gospel music industry and her commitment to her faith.”
