Lancashire Police welcomes new Chief Inspector for Chorley, South Ribble and West Lancashire

Lancashire Police has welcomed a new Chief Inspector for Chorley, South Ribble and West Lancashire.

James Neale will be responsible for Local Policing and Safer Neighbourhoods. 

His career began in 2003 when he joined Lancashire Constabulary as a Police Constable at Morecambe.

Since then, he has worked his way up in various roles including with the Counter Terrorism Policing North West team.

Neale returned to Lancashire as an Inspector to take on the role of Force Incident Manager, before moving into a Divisional Response Inspector role at Preston up until this year. 

He said: “It is a real privilege to be able to work with and for our local communities.  

“I am really passionate about problem-solving and I am looking forward to the long-term problem-solving that this role will allow me and my teams to really get stuck into. 

“Working really closely with our communities and partners, I want to continue to ensure that Chorley, South Ribble and West Lancashire are great places to live, work and visit.”
