Residents in Melbourne's north-west say they've been left shaken after a man was found dead outside a Burnside Heights home, with a gunman remaining on the run.
Police were called to a home on Tenterfield Drive about 9.10pm yesterday, after reports of a man with a gunshot wound.
When they arrived, a 34-year-old man from Wallan was found dead.

Local residents said they heard a man knocking on their door, screaming for help.
A white hatchback was also found at the scene, peppered with bullets, in what police believe was a targeted attack.
A crime scene has been established with detectives today going door-to-door on nearby streets in search of more information.
One resident told 9News the violent scenes were scary for the suburban community.
"It's scary for the elderly and the young kids, a lot of young families around here," he said.
Police are still searching for the person behind the shooting.
