A WOMAN got her makeup skills from her momma – who learned it from her own mother.

Sometimes the most valuable family treasures come in the form of beauty tricks which are passed down through the generations.

Redditor Kind-lynx7078 shared the makeup tricks she and her family members have been implementing since the new millennium.

“Use your face cream to remove your makeup,” she said.

“I know that from my mom and grandma. And I have been doing it all my life. We all were doing it in the 2000s,” she added.

The family secrets weren’t so secret anymore as she let others in on how to get the lip color you crave.

“Mix your eyeshadow with Aquaphor or Vaseline for a perfect lipstick shade,” she said.

She swore you wouldn’t be looking back after trying the lip trick – you can try the technique for yourself by purchasing Vaseline from Target for just $2.69.

“Stop buying lipsticks, just do that and [you] won’t regret it,” she said.

And those weren’t the only golden nuggets in her beauty trick vault as she advised others to “use any eyeshadow as blush.”

She had another tip that would also make you blush.

“Scrape some powder blush and mix it with primer. Now you have cream blush,” she said.

Other suggestions included using brown makeup or eyeshadow to fill in your eyebrows.

“Use [a] Q tip with micellar water to make your wing super pointy,” she said.

She was also here to save you from the stink as she recommended applying Benzoyl Peroxide to the underarms and feet and letting it sit for three to four minutes to avoid wasting product.

She guarantees you will never have smelly armpits or feet again.

It also worked wonders for breakouts.

Vaseline

“I use it for my whole body where I can get acne too,” she said.

She simply wants to save you from “splurging” on expensive body lotions.

“Just get glycerin and add one to two drops on your palms when you squirt lotion. Mix it and apply,” she said.

“When I don’t have Vaseline on me I use hand cream for my lips.”

Her mom’s advice didn’t end there when it came to one-step nail care.

She revealed how she cuts her toenails and fingernails over the toilet bowl so she can just flush and be rid of them.

“My mom taught me that,” she said.

Others also shared their own beauty tricks.

“Use eye primer and baking powder or setting powder on top of that in a thin layer, this will help the creasing of darker eyeshadows. Makes it last longer and it feels less oily and heavy,” said a user.

“[I use] a touch of olive oil under my eyes before I apply foundation,” another commented.

“Otherwise, the foundation looks really cakey and doesn’t blend under the eyes. Also, apply foundation to the jawline and neck,” they added.

“Using a tissue over fresh lipstick and dusting the tissues with powder to seal the lipstick,” a Redditor chimed in.
