Nigerians and South Africans appear to be engulfed in a cold war involving several prank orders on the ride-hailing application, Bolt.
This platform learnt that, on Wednesday, South Africans started the trouble when they began booking Nigerian drivers under the transport company’s app for fake prank rides which never materialized.
Nigerians, in an apparent fight back, began booking Bolt rides from South African drivers and sending them to the wrong location.
The hilarious pranks have led to a surge in Bolt bookings which has left residents in Johannesburg stranded and without rides back to their destinations.

Nigerians took to social media platform, X, to express delight over their win, with some taking it a step further by ordering heavy appliances from South African companies on a pay-on-delivery system and sending them to false locations.

It remains to be seen how the transport company, Bolt, reacts to this development, even as Nigerians are plotting their Bolt revenge beyond the town of Johannesburg.
