Noah Lyles collapses to floor after being denied historic 100m and 200m Olympics sprint double as Tebogo claims glory

NOAH LYLES failed to complete a historic double as he finished third in the 200m final.

The American sprinter was the quickest out of the pack but could not keep it up the whole way.

Usain Bolt won the 200m and 100m at the Olympics in London and Rio, and Lyles was hoping to do the same.

Lyles, 27, had collected one gold medal having won the 100m final on Sunday.

He won the event by just 0.05 seconds after a photo finish was needed to separate him and Jamaica’s Kishane Thompson.

But it was not to be i the 200m as Botwanan athlete Letsile Tebogo took home the gold.
