In an interview following their eviction from the BBNaija No Loose Guard edition, the TAMI duo—Dami and Toyosi—opened up about their experiences, challenges, and reflections on their time in Big Brother’s house.
Toyosi and Dami were evicted from BBNaija after only one week in the house, yet they claim that they have no regrets. Oh, no regrets at all. Being in Big Brother House is a huge opportunity because of the platform it provides.
Upon their early exit, the duo disclosed their strategy and plan to win the ultimate prize and how the things they’d do differently if given the chance.
Going into the house, we wanted to show our friendship bond. Many people think female friendships do not have genuinity and we wanted to show that. Also, we wanted to do a ‘good cop-bad cop’ thing.
Dami further expressed her disappointment over their eviction, reflecting on the series of events that led to their departure.
“I wanted to feel like if I acted better, if the kitchen issue didn’t happen, or people weren’t offended, then we wouldn’t be out,” she said. “Toyosi had already formed some connections, and I feel like I let us down.”
While rumours have swirled that the duo were going to take some space from each other, Toyosi debunked such rumours and clarified her statement during the interview with Ebuka.
What would the TAMI duo do differently in the Big Brother House?
“We’d get right at it if we had another chance and put ourselves out there faster. For the first few days, we were a bit too laid back and people did not get to see our personalities,” they said
Nobody got to see my funny side. I like to throw bants and that wasn’t seen. They didn’t see my creative side either, Toyosi said. While Dami said “Nobody got to see that I am a nightlife Queen. They didn’t see my soft and tender side because my personality was misunderstood in the house”
