I note that the UCP wants to opt out of the Canadian Dental Care Plan (CDCP). Why? Premier Smith said the CDCP “unnecessarily replicates” publicly funded dental coverage that is already available to many Albertans. Well, I’m retired and don’t have a plan and, if I want one, I have to pay out of pocket. By contrast, MLAs have a wonderful plan with a choice of core or enhanced coverage.
