Ukrainian shelling killed six people in Russia’s border region of Belgorod on Sunday, while a Russian strike hit a hotel in eastern Ukraine leaving one journalist missing and another two hospitalized, local officials said.

A Ukrainian attack on the village of Rakitone, 38 kilometers from the Ukrainian border, killed five people and injured 12 others, six of whom were in critical condition. One more victim was reported in the village of Solovyoka after a drone attack, Bolgorod Gov. Vyacheslav Gladkov wrote on his Telegram channel.

The city of Belgorod and its district together with the Shebekino and Shebekinsky districts remained on high alert. “Go down to the basement. Stay there until you receive the signal ‘All clear missile danger’,” Gladkov said.

Earlier, a Russian strike hit the Hotel Sapphire in Kramatorsk where a crew of six Reuters journalists were staying overnight. Vadym Filashkin, governor of the Donetsk Oblast where the town is located, said there were four injured all of whom were Reuters employees.

The victims are citizens of Ukraine, the U.S., Latvia and Germany, while one British journalist is missing. “One of our colleagues is unaccounted for, while another two have been taken to hospital for treatment,” Reuters said in a statement.
