Nigerian act, Paul Okoye popularly known as Rudeboy, a member of the popular music duo (Psquare) has announced a new set of rules for artists seeking to join his record label, Fire Department Inc.

During an Instagram Live session, Rudeboy laid out terms and conditions for potential signees, emphasizing the need for solid guarantees. “Some artistes develop a sense of entitlement once they achieve fame,” Rudeboy said. To prevent this, he is set to implement a list of rigorous requirements including the provision of landed property and a contract co-signed by the artist’s parents.

Additionally, Rudeboy made it clear that any artist caught smoking weed will face a hefty fine of N10 million. “Some people just believe say they don big pass record label. So, I will tell you my demands now. You go bring landed properties, your parents go sign.

The day I catch you dey smoke one thing as my artiste, minus N10 million. That is why if you continue asking me when I am going to sign artists, I will tell you I do not know,” he said.

Fire Department Inc. was launched by Rudeboy in 2019, following the split of the popular music duo Psquare, which he formed with his twin brother, Peter Okoye. Despite the brothers’ brief reunion in November 2021, their reconciliation was short-lived. They worked on two songs together during that period, ‘Jaiye’ and ‘Find Somebody’.

Paul Okoye and Peter Okoye Ongoing Issues

Also recently, tensions between Paul Okoye and Peter Okoye have escalated, as Paul (Rudeboy) recently accused Peter of planning his arrest by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC).

On Monday, August 12, Peter, in turn, wrote a letter to Paul Okoye, questioning why his brother (Paul) would seek to write off his efforts to the Psquare brand.
