An Ashton-on-Ribble man has been charged after trying to evade police.

A police chase took place through Avenham and resulted in an 18-year-old man being arrested on Wednesday afternoon.

Preston Police found a machete discarded in a garden and have now charged a man with possession of a knife in a public place.

Tyreese Samuels-West, 18, of Lulworth Avenue, Ashton-on-Ribble is due to appear before Preston Magistrates’ Court on Thursday (26 September) afternoon.
