ESPN hyped up the return of Aaron Rodgers on Monday Night Football – then forgot how to spell his name.
The sports network ran a graphics package to celebrate the New York Jets quarterback’s appearance against the San Francisco 49ers.

It was the 40-year-old’s his first complete NFL game since 2022.
But eagle-eyed viewers spotted that ESPN spelled Rodgers incorrectly as ‘Rogers’ in one graphic.
“Aaron Rogers??? Nice spelling ESPN,” one fan said.
“I guess it’s still preseason for some graphic artist at ESPN MNF that created an ‘Aaron Rogers’ break bump,” another fan noted.
Rodgers, for his part, refused to make excuses following the Jets’ 32-19 defeat to the 49ers.
The quarterback suffered a devastating Achilles injury just four plays into his first game for the Jets last year.
Despite feeling good about being healthy again, Rodgers was not willing to use his injury as an excuse for not winning immediately.
“That’s an excuse, for sure,” he said. “I’m not gonna use that. I don’t think we should.
“We expect greatness when we step on the field. There were moments for sure, moments that felt really good, but not sustained.”
Having worked tirelessly over the last 11 months to return to action, Rodgers was keen to praise those who have helped him get back.
“Yeah, it’s been a while, it felt great,” he said of being back on the field.
“A lot of gratitude just to be back in pads. So many people helped me get to this spot.
“So I’m really thankful for my surgeon, my loved ones, my friends, the staff here, training staff to help me get back was really cool.
“Obviously, wanted to take a shot and feel the physicality of it.
“Once I threw a couple balls and took a shot, it felt good, felt like I was into the game.”
Elsewhere on the MNF broadcast, Jason Kelce made a chaotic broadcasting debut on the flagship NFL program.

“It fits my belly now I’ve lost a little bit of weight but my t**s are still struggling,” Kelce said.
Jason himself replied to a fan, who questioned his rather rude reference on social media.
“Jason, can you says ‘t**s’ on TV?” the fan asked.
“I don’t know, did they bleep it?” Jason responded.
Meanwhile, Hollywood actor Adam Sandler hilariously took the blame as a Rodgers pass was intercepted during his appearance on the ManningCast.
“See, maybe you should get rid of me,” Sandler joked, as the Manning brothers chuckled.
“I don’t wanna be here. I’m going. That was terrible… This was a mistake.”
