LEGENDARY NFL star and Super Bowl champion Eugene “Mercury” Morris has died aged 77.
In a statement, his heartbroken family said his “talent and passion left an indelible mark on the sport.”

Morris was a three-time Pro Bowl selection and starred for the unbeaten 1972 Miami Dolphins and was a leading figure in the team that won two Super Bowl titles.
The retired sportsman’s family said: “Beyond the field, Mercury was a devoted father, a loving brother, a loyal friend, and a pillar in the community.
“His presence extended far beyond football, as he touched the lives of many throughout his time in Miami.”
