Former Galatasaray player, Garry Rodrigues has hailed the signing of Super Eagles of Nigeria striker, Victor Osimhen as he shared his thoughts on the upcoming Turkish Super Lig match between Galatasaray and Fenerbahce.
Garry Rodrigues expressed his admiration for Victor Osimhen, who is currently on loan from Napoli to Galatasaray, describing him as an outstanding goal scorer.
Rodrigues also praised the overall quality of both teams and emphasized the unpredictability of the league ahead of the Istanbul derby, which will kick off at 6 p.m. on Saturday, September 21.
He commended Galatasaray’s transfer decisions, highlighting the additions of Osimhen, as well as other players such as Gabriel Sara, Ismail Jakobs, and Missy Batshuayi.
Rodrigues acknowledged the pressure that comes with playing at a club like Galatasaray and expressed his hope for the success of the new signings.
“Both clubs have built very good teams. It is really hard to say who will win. Anything can happen in this league. The best will win,” Rodrigues said on Özgür Sancar’s live broadcast on Radyospor.
“Galatasaray made very good transfers. Osimhen is a truly exceptional goal scorer. Sara, Jacobs, and Batshuayi are very good players.
“Of course, there is a pressure environment. How they will manage it is very important… I think they will all be successful. I hope they achieve more success than I did at Galatasaray.”
