Tens of thousands of pounds worth of power tools were uncovered in the back of a van near Preston.
Lancashire Road Police pulled over the van on the M6 near the city.
Pictures show hundreds of power tools stashed in the van.
Police said it was confirmed the items had been taken in a string of recent thefts.
The driver of the van was arrested and the vehicle seized.
