This term, the group of over 450 members, will be supporting the North West Ambulance.

The choir was founded by LIPA graduate Laura Bennett in January 2021. They meet weekly to support their aim of doing good for others through the joy of singing.

Local Vocals have over 450 members from across the northwest.

This summer, the choir flash mobbed the crowds attending the Lytham Festival with a rendition of ‘Sit Down’ by James and sang the Oasis tune ‘Stop Crying your Heart Out’ from the stands of the Wigan Stadium to a packed derby match crowd.

The group said: “Soloist Rebecca Frodsham began the song, whilst around three hundred singers made their way onto the pitch accompanied by violinists and volunteers from The Brick.”
