A man has been jailed after the theft of over £200 worth of skincare products from Preston city centre.
Luke Roberts, 27, of West Park Avenue, was arrested and charged after police were called to Boots on Fishergate on Wednesday (18 September) were £206 of products had been stolen.
Roberts appeared at Preston Magistrates’ Court on Friday (20 September) and pleaded guilty to theft from a shop.

He was sentenced to 16 weeks in prison.
A spokesperson for police said: “Operation Vulture is Lancashire Constabulary’s response to shoplifting across the county, backed by Lancashire’s Police and Crime Commissioner Clive Grunshaw.
“The operation sees dedicated officers undertaking hotspot patrolling, increasing their visibility in targeted areas and creating strong partnerships with retailers across the county to better share intelligence, get a deeper understanding of retail crime and identify more offenders.”
