A man is in hospital after being stabbed in an early morning attack in Preston.
Police were called by North West Ambulance Service at around 2am this morning (29 September) to the BP garage on Tag Lane in Ingol to reports of a stabbing.
A man was found with stab injuries and taken to hospital. Police have remained in the area through Sunday following the incident.

A 39-year-old man from Ingol was arrested on suspicion of assault causing grievous bodily harm. Police said that he is currently in custody.
A spokesperson for police said: “At around 1:59am on Sunday 29th September we were called by the ambulance service to reports of a stabbing on Tag Lane, Ingol, Preston.
“Officers attended to find a man had been stabbed, and he was taken to hospital.
“A 39 year old man from Ingol, Preston has been arrested on suspicion of assault causing grievous bodily harm. He is currently in custody.
“Enquiries are ongoing.
