The Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL) Board has made changes to the matchday 3 fixtures.
In the recent release signed by NPFL Chief Operating Officer, Davidson Owunmi, and sent to the concerned states’ football associations, three matches have been rescheduled to take place on Sunday, September 22.
These matches will feature Sunshine hosting Abia Warriors at Dipo Dina International Stadium in Ijebu Ode, Kano Pillars welcoming league leaders Remo Stars at Muhammadu Dikko Stadium in Katsina, and defending champions Enugu Rangers facing off against Bayelsa United at Nnamdi Azikiwe Stadium in Enugu.
Note that the aforementioned games are expected to kick off at 4 p.m.
Furthermore, three out of the remaining seven fixtures of matchday 3, scheduled for Wednesday, October 2, will be broadcast live. Football fans will have the opportunity to watch the matches from the comfort of their homes.
The televised games will include the clash between Kwara United and Ikorodu City at Kwara Sports Complex, Ilorin, the face-off between Nasarawa United at Lafia Township Stadium, Lafia, and the fixture involving Plateau United and El-Kanemi Warriors at Jos International Stadium in Jos.
The other four fixtures will witness Bendel Insurance and Shooting Stars reigniting their age-old rivalry at Samuel Ogbemudia Stadium in Benin City, Heartland hosting Katsina United at Dan Anyiam Stadium, Owerri, Lobi Stars entertaining Rivers United at Lafia Township Stadium, Lafia, and Enyimba entertaining neighbors Akwa United in Aba.
