Preston city centre businesses and student flats targeted in string of burglaries

A man has been charged after a string of burglaries across Preston city centre and the city’s university campus.

Preston Police say during the course of three months city businesses and student flats were targeted.

Wesley Holden, 47, of no fixed address, has been charged with three counts of burglary, three counts of burglary other than a dwelling, two counts of fraud by false representation, two counts of theft by finding and an attempted burglary.

The offences took place between July and September with items taken including bags, cash, games consoles and bank cards.

Holden is due to appear before Preston Magistrates’ Court during Friday (13 September).
