Preston Comic Con is returning for 2024.
The celebration of pop culture will take place at 53 Degrees on Saturday 5 October.
The event is set to welcome comic book lovers, sci-fi enthusiasts, and superhero fans, offering a variety of special guests and attractions.
A number of special guests will be in attendance on the day.
Jo Martin: A.k.a The Fugitive Doctor. Jo played the role of Ruth Clayton in Doctor Who during the 13th Doctor’s tenure. It was later revealed that Ruth was, in fact, The Doctor. Jo has starred in many roles, from Batman Begins to Holby City.
Richard Oldfield: Played rebel fighter pilot Derek Klivian – better known as Hobbie – in the movie Star Wars Episode V, The Empire Strikes Back, plus starred as Brother Simeon in The Omen 3: The Final Conflict alongside Sam Neill, and as Doug Van Allen in The Razor’s Edge with Bill Murray.
Stefan Kapičić: Best known for his role as member of the X-Men, Colossus, who took responsibility for trying to reel in Deadpool.
Christina Rotondo: Vocal talent who brought to life Goblin Queen Janis in The 2023 Doctor Who Christmas Special, The Church on Ruby Road.
Ian Whyte: Brought to life the terrifying phantom god Garraka in Ghostbusters Frozen Empire, and has played a number of characters in Game of Thrones plus appeared in Aliens Vs Predator and more.
Nick Brokenshire: Was a writer/artist for IDW’s Star Wars Adventures and is an artist on Dark Horse Comic’s Star Wars titles.
Dave Kennedy: Wigan-based comic artist and illustrator who is currently working with horror legend John Carpenter and his comic company Storm King Comics.

Professional photoshoots are available with each of the guests, with a range of green screen options to from which to choose.
Various attractions and props will be at the event, including the A Team van, Slimer, and Lightning McQueen, while ODEON Preston will be auctioning off movie posters and banners, with all proceeds going to the charity MIND.
There will be over 30 traders including including Kookie Kitten selling homemade cute pastel goth, horror, and witchy hair accessories, The TGC Villa with a range of trading card games and accessories, and Pompey Boy Treats bringing American drinks, sweets and geeky treats.
A cosplay competition will be held with a £100 prize for the best dressed. Cosplayers can also have a mini shoot with a photographer throughout the day.
Preston Comic Con will take place from 10.30am to 4.30pm on Saturday 5 October.
Photoshoot and discounted entry tickets are available on the Wonky Rocket Events website. Entry tickets are also available from official sellers That Comic Shop, Street Monkeys and ODEON Cinema.
