Based in Market Street West, off Friargate, she talks through how the venue, bar and events space is evolving and signalling a new kind of development for Preston city centre.

From chess boards, to yoga sessions, running clubs, foodie options and more the brainchild of Ben Casey and Christine is put in the spotlight – and their hopes and dreams for the Friargate area of the city.

Christine said: “We want it to be a place where everyone is welcome. Students, OAPs,
young people. Everyone is welcome at chewsyard.”

The Parched Pea Podcast is a collaboration between Blog Preston and the Lancashire Post, with Gilly exploring the people and places which make the city tick and will be available on SpotifyApple and all other major podcast apps via Podfollow with new episodes being released each Wednesday.
